light clearing help

well i recently purchased a tl type s w/o navi and i must say...i luv this car. however, i HATE the amber part in the headlight...so i went to a local shop to get it cleared and they said they seal the headlight afterwards using hot glue....does this sound right? i've always thought and heard that silicon was used to seal headlights after clearing them out. Is hot glue ok and/or better even? Or is it a terrible thing to use and I shouldnt even consider having them touch my car? please help...appreciate it thanks a lot!

Never heard of someone using hot glue to seal lights back up. I would def. ask them about using silicone instead
