I installed EDFC unit for Tein SS where the coin holder used to be, and the light bulb is generating decent amount of heat. Do you know how to remove it?
Thanks

Tatewaki:
I mean the coin holder right beside the power outlet (right below the HU). I hope this is clear enough.

killercalf: unfortunately the service manual does not explain on how to remove the coin pocket light. Since my car does not have one (wish it did) I would suggest that you start taking apart the center console panel.

It seems like light is attached to the bottom part of the HU.

I have posted pics on different thread, if you are still interested.

The bulb for my coin holder just burned out recently. Doesn't sound like it can be easily replaced eh? Better that I take it to the dealer and let them replace it? I wonder if it'll cost as much as replacing the bulb that lights up the clock since it sounds like a difficult procedure removing the dash.

smash the bulb and vacuum out the contents.
nah...you have to remove console around the gear shift and HU. not hard at all, only need a philips screw driver. look up the instructions for removing the HU.
