I don't know where you're from in Texas, but if you visit Dallas, Houston, Austin, or even San Antonio you'll see some Lexus GS400/430's on the road. Good luck, though--that's a fast car! [/B][/QUOTE]
I live north of Dallas and there are lots of Lexus around, but I've seen 15-1 GS300 vs Gs400. Must be my timing.
Oh, and thanks for wishing me luck. If they really are that much faster I'm going to need every edge in my favor.

Pete, I did not mean that as an insult as I noticed that tl/cl owners like to race(based on my many encounters with these cars)
From my perspective, that is cool cause, why have a fast car and not see what it can do.
Just like most BMW drivers I see are speeding and most Lexus drivers I see ARE NOT speeding (just an observation).
Well the C5 was going like 80mph when I decided to play with him (not sure of mods he had chrome rims) and we both punch it and he was slightly ahead but I kept my car in 3rd (e-shift) and at 120 mph we are 2 lanes apart, I look over he is looking at me like WTF is going on?
THis was when it was cold and I noticed the car really takes off around 80mph.
No go fast mods yet......
Ruf87 I shouldn't be doing this but try to get a good start and it should be close, your start is very very important....

i am going to ask this loosely.. are you sure he was racing..
a little story..
on the lexus board.. a GS4 owner posts about his race with a porche..
he said they were both going all out and they were side by side at about 100 mph.. then he said noticed their was a car infront of him and that point he heard the porche downshift and pulled about 5 car lenghts on him...
the guy wasn't racing.. he was just crusing..
