Legend calipers

Hey guys I purchased some 95 legend ls coupe dual piston calipers and I was wondering what pads do I use on the calipers. I never did a caliper swap before so I need some help. I already have pads for my car which is an 03 tl type s. But it doesn't seem like the pads fit. Please help guys I really want to install these calipers and slotted rotors on my car.

you use the TL caliper bracket with the Legend caliper. Then you use the TL pads

The legend brackets do not fit the TL- 1-2 mm longer at the attach points
Legend pads dont fit the TL brackets- pads a little longer and too tight a fit

Make sure to swap the calipers side to side so the one with the big R goes on driver side and L goes on passenger side
Use TL brackets (on their same normal side) use TL rotors- TL pads

Grab the springy things of the new bracket and transfer to the TL bracket
Make sure to use caliper grease where ther is contact or movement

Toss the new bare Legend bracket back in the box with the old calipers to return.
Use a squirt can to prefill the new calipers as much as possible, saves time bleeding and helps protect new seals from damage
Bleed order LF- driver front then clockwise around the car LF RF RR LR
Do not push brake pedal to floor while bleeding- place small 2x4 wood block under pedal to limit travel to 3/4 of full- that protects the MC from overextending and damage.
1 qt DOT4 synthetic brake fluid should fix you up

when i bought the calipers i didnt buy the ones that came with brackets. all that came in the box is the caliper(x2), a bag with 2 bolts and washers(x2), two metal rods that are taper to a bigger size on one side(x2), two rubber boots i guess(x2), and 3 very thin metal pieces(x2) that i guess are used to connect the pads ? not sure though. is this job easy enough to do myself along with stainless steel brake lines ? i never did a brake job in my lifetime

You do not posses the skill set or tools for this job if you are asking these questions
Changing the lines can be a pain
Make sure to tell the tech to swap them-- L goes on passenger side R goes on driver, so the bleeder is on the top of the caliper once installed
Make sure to clean and lube the metal sliders and such as described before- you will just be using your old parts
You wont need those shims with the TL pads

Legend Swap

I'm going to do the same for my sons 99 TL because those brakes stink not to mention the pulsating crap.

I just did this, you can just slide the calipers off and leave the pads and rotors alone. Just slide the new ones right over the old pads, bolt 'em up, bleed them and you are good to go. Previously I had upgraded to slotted rotors and EBC red stuff pads.

I like the Rotora rotor (Excelerate), DBA (Tirerack) rotor is supposed to be great and Racing brake (heeltoe) makes a good rotor

I'd recommend DBA rotors. I'm very impressed with mine.
