do a search for "LED conversion" or "dash conversion". i was just looking at it the other day, literally. http://www.ledautomotive.com/index.asp is the site you want to go to. they sell the specific kits for our cars.

yeah it's a huge pain in the ass to do the blue LEDs for the dash. they do sell the white LED kits, or at least they sell the white bulbs and the screens in the speedo cause it to light up blue. you could use a solvent to dissolve the color or something on it perhaps. although i would rather try this on a spare first......

exactly, the bulbs are white, but the blue plastic screens on the inside of the speedo cluster cause it to look blue in appearance. the caption above the photo says:

"(Hyper White LEDs are used but the gauge cluster will light up blue - See picture)"

since the light from halogen bulbs is yellow and the screens are blue then that's how they get a green light on the dash. you'll see when you scroll down that side-by-side in the photos the stock bulb gives off a noticeably yellow light.

in order to have an all white dash you would somehow have to bleach the blue screen on the inside of the cluster or remove it (i bet it's a film coating). i accidentally removed the coating from the inside of the climate control cluster on my ford when i was in college. it came right off with a screwdriver (i accidentally slid it like a chisel over the inside of the faceplate). i don't think i would recommend this method of removal though since you could damage the faceplate that way.

it's not an easy mod.
the blue and red led's don't light the gauge needles enough.
it looks lame.
plua...you'll never get the clock, temp control, radio and instrument cluster the same color...

u need a bunch of surface mount resistors.
different values.
420 ohm 970 ohm
u need to double up some of the leds.
u need to take out some the filters in the odometer, the clock and temp control.
and the stock radio...the leds must soldered right onto the PCB.

halfway thru...and about 80.00 dollars later..i changed it all back.

how gay am i ?.

show'em spiderman...do that gay dance..

the lights in the radio are a different animal all together. it canbe done though. one of the other members did it and posted quite a lengthy picture write-up about it. i'm sure it's still in the archived because i looked at it the other day.

i actually just replaced every light in my dash last night so now i have leftover bulbs/bases. i was thinking about doing this mod but i really don't know if i would like the blue color. i might just use mild yellow LEDs to keep the green dash color instead.

the radio manufacturer used for the TL is different than the accord.

the ledautomotive kit uses hyperwhite bulbs for the gauge cluster.
with a twist.
the bulb cluster are hyperwhites, with a bubble cover that is painted with
a black sharpie.
the hyperwhite shining thru the black sharpie give a semi blue hue.

plus the gauge cluster doesn't carry the led light very well.
it works for incadescant.
teh needles look crappy.
the odometer doesn't really lit up blue...it's kind of a gray color..

just looked cheesy.
