Yea, looks great now that the hotspots are gone! Did you trim the LEDs?

Nope.

I have the other pics coming soon (later tonight maybe) of the switches and climate control I completed yesterday and tonight. Some were a PITA to install, but well worth it. Just have to have patience.

Thanks!

So am I going to get in crap with this site if I recommend where to get the parts or give a link? I know it's a sin if I'm trying to sell here with out moderators concent and membership, but will it be the same if I just mention where to get the parts or kit? And no, I'm not selling them. I certainly dont want to be banned here.

I'm at work right now, but when I get home I will be posting some new pics. I have only the driver window LED to do. They didnt turn out as well as I hoped (the pictures) but it will give you an idea what it looks like. The pictures dont do it justice.

Final Update

Hey guys! Took the final pics of the LED install in my car. The pics aren't the best as the auto climate looks like it has two hotspots and uneven bright colour, but by the naked eye there is none (very pleasing to the eye I must say). Its just the camera. Seeing it in person would be the best way to see it, but since most live far away from me...........
Tell me what you think now of the conversion. Its 98% complete. The only things left are the shifter (notice the colour difference from the ugly yellow/green shifter to the heated seat switch pic), driver power window switch, and the red led for defrost.
Ok, maybe this wont be the last pics I take. I might do some work on the auto climate I think that the LCD display has a filter that I can remove. I just read that somewhere. Maybe it will match the clock a little better. It's too late tonight to work on that.

So is it safe to say where to get these kit(s)? Yes I did say kits and they are coming out soon (probably after x-mas as they are not listed on their website yet)
I was able to get them as my car was an experiment to see if it was viable for them to sell these kits and work out the kinks (they didnt have a TL kicking around, so I volunteered). That's why I wouldn't recommend them until I got it the way I would like it (eliminate the hotspots). I still had to pay for them so I didnt get them for free. It was a risk I was willing to take as I'm so sick of the yellow/green
So for those who want to get LED kits for the TL/CL, they are coming.
The only thing is I dont know if they will have assorted colours (red especially) as most of the instruments in our car have blue filters, most can be removed but some cant. And since I didnt test out red for them, I think we are stuck with blue or white. I could be wrong though, I guess we will have to see.

Hey Ontario TL,

Good job. And thanks for being the guinea pig. Doing a LED project from scratch doesn't sound like an easy thing whatsoever!

PS Shouldn't you be in bed? It's like 3AM!!! LOL

Yes it was fun being a guinea pig . It was worth it. I figure most are just as sick with the colour of their interior lights. I've only had my car for a month and I'm already done with that colour scheme.
It's possible to do a LED project from scratch, but making sure you get the right parts and right colours can be an expensive endevour. Something I didnt want to do.

PS. Yes I should be in bed!!!

Ok well I guess I will tell you who is going to sell them soon once they have it posted on their website along with the instructions.

Keep an eye on www.ledautomotive.com as I'm sure they will probably post it after x-mas sometime (so they tell me). So enjoy whoever decides to order the kits once they are available. All I can say from experience is, have patience. The effort is well worth it.

I have no idea what the prices will be as I'm not selling them, but I'm sure they will be inline with their Accord kits.
