Leather seats are a curse !!

My '02 TLS rear leather seats are driving me crazy. I have had them apart twice now. Padded the areas with felt, where the seat contacts the plastic rear dash surfaces. No luck yet. I am running out of ideas and this noise is really annoying me.

Has anyone of you had a problem like this one before? If yes, what is the remedy (other than to crank up the stereo)?

Look forward to hearing from you folks. Thank you !!

^but that isn't the leather. You have to make sure that the seat belts are completely up, sometimes they don't come all the way back into the well.

but other wise, that's really it

one thing that is for sure.. the leather is not the issue and any amount of felt isn't going to cure a damn thing.

Hi all,

What I meant by rear dash, was the rear deck. I thought the seat leather must be rubbing against the deck's plastic surface and so I used sticky felt as padding between the two surfaces. However, it did not help. The noise sounds like leather is rubbing against something. When I had the complete seat out, it went away. But, I am not able to pin point where it is coming from. Any help/ideas will be appreciated.

i dont know if its the same noise the OP is talking about but i do get squeaking from my rear seats when i go over bumps and when the bass hits. my noise is not coming from the leather itself but from the hooks and what not that hold the rear seats in place. i think adding padding to all of the points where the seat is attached should help.

^^i agree. try adding the felt to all the points where the hooks hold the seat in and everywhere the upper and lower pieces touch the interior. that'd be my first course of action.
