Question Leasing an '03 TL-S w/navigation

Been quoted $491 @ mo. for new '03 TL-S w/navigation:

36 mo. closed-end lease
15,000 mi. @ annum
$0.00 money down
usual upfront fees, i.e., finance origination, plates
6% sales tax amortized into each lease payment

Is this a good deal?

Depends.
What is the capitalized cost of the car?
What is the residual value?
What is the money factor or the interest rate?
Is gap insurance included in that fee?

You need to know all of these things, and what they mean. If you don't, you could spend a lot of unnecessary dough.

Leases can occasionally be a good deal, mainly if you have tax advantages, but often they can be a way to pay way too much for the use of a car.

If you want to know more, let me know.

leasing mine...here are the terms:
  • 32000 cap cost (29,900 plus 2,100 for body kit,spoiler, and visor, w/o Navi)
  • Residual 58% (New York)
  • Money Factor is .00235
  • 48 months/12k miles per year
  • Paid 1,500 cap reduction, paid all taxes & fees upfront - total OOP was 4,500
  • Monthly Payment is $362

just fyi...make sure your dealer residualizes your spoiler (if you get it, which IMO you should)

good luck
