Talking L.A. Auto Show 04 TL Concept Pics!

Hello fellow members,

I went to the L.A. Auto Show on 01/02/04 and saw many awesome cars; however, I believe nothing compared to the 04 Concept TL I seen. Below are the pictures.

Enjoy!

The front of the car looks like the Batmobile. :yack: Other than that..everything else looks alright. Still don't like the 3rd gen. bodystyles.

This is not a concept car is the Acura TL A-Spec: and quote,
Acura explores enthusiast territory with this sharp TL project car, boosting power, improving handling, and bolstering its urban image. The most obvious changes include a two-inch wider stance, one-inch lower ride height, massive 21-inch wheels, more angular front fascia, and flashy grille. The rear features similar changes, with a sporty fascia, eye-catching exhaust tips, restyled decklid spoiler, and new taillight treatments. Internal modifications, augmented by high-flow intake and exhaust, elevate power from 270 hp to over 300 hp from the 3.2-liter V-6. While this demonstrates the TL's extreme potential, Acura now offers an A-Spec kit, complete with a track-tuned suspension, 18-inch wheel/tire combo, and full aerodynamic package. This kit is dealer-installed and covered by full factory warranty.

ahh really no joke the new tl has its good points but whenever i run into people and we get into a convo abouy my tl-s more often than not im told that they like the 02-03 body style better.and i have 2 agree w them not because i have an 03 but its just doesnt do much for me.....a type s would def make it more appealing

THe basics is the same car, but 15" rotors, it was either 6 or 8 piston brembo brakes, 21" wheels w/really low profile rims. Seats with heat/cooling vents. Over 300 hp, looks like minor or bolt on mods. That's what makes it a concept car

That is the a concept car, it's not the Acura TL-A Spec. The A-spec just has 18 rims, body kit, lower springs and firmer shocks along with other stuff.

04AcuraTL6speed:

I don't want to start a fight here but this is a PROJECT CAR not a CONCEPT CAR, meaning the car already exist but here is shown with modifications that are already implemented in the A-Spec version. Read the quote.

Same here, but a concept car is a car that is not in production. The 04 TL is in production, but this "ACURA TL A-Spec" is not only bolt on mods, It's basically a different car that is not in production.

The optional "A-Spec package" that you can get on ur TL from the dealer for $4,000 is not the same "A-Spec Concept".

All the articales i read call it a concept, and Honda also calls it a "concept" in their offical press release

Acura TL A-SPEC Concept Vehicle To Be Displayed at Los Angeles Auto Show

.Acura TL A-Spec Concept Highlights

Well, concept or no concept, it doens't matter, it looks great

I wish I had what the people at acura are smoking - seriously, they're making some ugly cars now. I'm expecting those ugly american car colors next - shiny gold, puke green, etc...

The front of the car and the wheels look massive for that car. Not too shabby, but some of the styling (rear lights, interior color, etc.) and just plain tacky.

21" Rims are rediculous and will never make it to market. The taillights are ugly and un original.

new tl body style - go to www.acura.com com and roll your mouse over the tl then the tsx the lil side picture changes - well not really they look identical -

but that paint color is schweet - so question for y'all modders - if I get a high flow intake and exhaust am I going to get close to 300 ponies?

Wouldn't want ta take that car down a real rough road , wheels
seem to completely fill the wheel well. Like the gray and red
seat color combo, though.
