Kit and drop without rims?

I don't have the money for rims right now (want some branzachs) but I was thinking about getting the OEM kit (only $400 now!) and some comptech springs - would this look stupid without rims? anyone have pictures?

also, I heard that some springs will basically destroy your stock shocks, will springs with a mild drop (like the comptech ones) still do this? sorry, I know absoutely nothing about springs/shocks/etc

What year is your car? I have a 2002, stock rims with kit. I think it looks fine. Of course it'll look better with new rims but the stock 2002 rims aren't that bad, I kinda like them.

I have comptech springs. Installed by dealer. They said I wouldn't need new shocks with the comptechs.

There is nothing wrong with just drop + kit and no rims. I was riding like that for a while. It looks just fine the way it is. IMO in order of importance: drop, kit, rims.

In terms of shocks, any drop will decrease the life of them. CT is more mild thus the shocks can last a bit longer. But they will still go out sonner than with stock springs.

thanks for the replies, I have a 99 so I only have 16" wheels but I was just worried it would look strange, kind of like putting rims on but not dropping it...

badazz - those are stock rims? I got my car used, the rims have never looked that shiny - is that an option? Brake dust has seriously taken a toll on mine, need to find a good cleaner.

nice looking car btw
