key stuck in ignition?
ok...so to make a long story short, I have a 99 TL. I asked my brother to run out and start the car. Not really knowing what hes doing, he grabs a spare key, and tries to start the car not knowing it wouldnt work. Now, I have a shit key stuck in my ignition, that wont turn back to the off position. For now i have the battery disconnected, but is this just a shit key that I have and wont let me turn it back? or is something to do with the car itself? any help would be greatly appreciated.

lol my mom couldn't pull the key out of my dad's car... cuz it wasn't in park, and she left it in the garage like that for 3 days... dead battery ftl.

tried the switch thing...no good. I think it may be an issue with the key. Ill have to grab my original tomorrow and compare, but it almost looks like theres a tab on the key that shouldnt be there and isnt letting it push in to turn back all the way...

ask if if he forced it in, if he did then well, all you can do is force it out...
if he didnt force it in then it's a malfunction somewhere and at least you know nothings broken...yet

move the shifter back and forth from 1 to park a few times. Make sure that it is actually engaging into park.

i figured it out...it was the spare key...it was almost like the key was too long and not letting it push in all the way to trun back to the off position. I took a pair of pliers and pushed in while turning back and it popped out...but now i cant find the normal key....it never ends...haha.. Oh well...looks like ill hafta bring it to the stealership.
Thanks all for your quick and helpful responses.
