Question Key Imobolizer

I went to start my car today and the key imobolizer system wont let the engine turn over...

Any suggestions besides having it hauled off to the dealer?

did you try all 3 keys that came with your car. If you get one of the key wet, it might not work. If not then, call Total Luxury Care and have them tow the car to a dealer and they can deal with it. That is if you're still under warranty.

Make sure the Acura key is the only key on the ring and you don't have a lot of metal on the keyring. Other keys with immobilizer chips can interfere with the Acura key and also a large amount of metal (i.e. lots of keys, metal trinkets, etc) on the keyring has been known to interfere. Try just the key by itself and see if it helps.

hey just an update. It has happened twice more this week. Finally bit the bullet and had it towed to the local Acura dealer.
Come to find out the main relay between the computer and the fuel pump was going bad. Thats why sometimes it would start and sometimes it wouldnt....

Repairs are too bad.. Parts and labor = $150.

FYI

After having the car to the Acura dealer three times... they were able to figure that the computer was acting up.... They happened to have a TL turned in at the end of the lease and swapped computers out of it... No charge to me... I love my local Acura dealer....

Good luck with yours...

Sounds like a law suit waiting to happen. Unbelievabl that Honda engineered that feature to be active when the cars moving. Hope mine doesn't go out.
