i'm ordering for my brother with a Tl-p a pioneer avic d3 for a christmas present. just want to make sure before i buy that all i need is the avic d3 unit itself, and an ipod integration wire? i'm gonna let him worry about the dash kit and all, just want to make sure, thanks!

 

i'd pickup a honda wiring harness too for teh pigtails coming with the unit. check into what other accessories the D3 has, maybe they may also appeal to him.

might as well get one with the touchscreen, as i thought the D3 was not touchscreen correct?

 

I believe it is touch screen.

so on a scale of 1-10 (10 being hardest), how hard would it be to install this thing in my brothers car? i'm thinking maybe i could install it for him, cause #1 it would give me practice when i install mine, and number 2 i'm a nice brother. he got me an HD tv last year!

 

i would PM uncald4, he does custom dash kits and can wire up everything for you so all you have to do is plug in one wire!
