Just ordered my 6000k bulbs!

Just wondering. For those who've purchased from autolamps-online.com before, how long did it take until you received your merchandise?

Thanks

If they take too long to deliver your bulbs, you might want to try another company that is based here in the USA. Their web address is HIDS4Less.Com.

I am thinking of converting my high beams to HID with the 6000K bulbs. What do you guys think?

I just convert my halogen fog light to 6000K HID.
look at this pic.
Stock low beam HID looks like halogen comparing with 6000K HID fog. So you could clearly see the difference. I mean BIG DIFFERECE! Most likely I will need to buy 6000K for my low beam. more $$$!

but it still seems to me that the stock HID has denser projection of light.

the color might be yellower.. but I thought mine was WHITE when I shine it on the wall like that..

i guess there is a difference between 2002 TLs and previous ones

I noticed that too. While I was driving the 01 loaner, I noticed that the HID's had a more bluish color to them. My 02 has a more whiter look. I guess the 01 bulbs have a higher temp than the 02.

Well I just got an email from autolamps-online.com. Seems they are waiting for more D2R 6000k bulbs and it should be arriving within 7 days. That means my order won't be shipping until sometime next week!!

P.S. 2002 TL-S and TL-P are D2R!!

Shyne, BDI's right....it looks like they recently dropped their bulbs from $175 to $145. I wonder if this price-drop is temporary.

Wouldn't you know it, as soon as I place my order, the price goes down. I think I'm gonna cancel my order since they are on backorder anyway and place it again and save $60!!

Hey rmarin2, I have a question for you. why did you get the D2R instead of D2S. I know it is standard but I thought D2S give little more light than D2R. someone in this fourm bought D2S and he said that it didn't bother other oncoming cars.

I'm also thinking about buy a set of 6000K from autolamps-online. do you have any idea about how long it will take ship? also do they charge extra $ since it is coming from other country?

thanks...

I was torn between the D2r and D2s bulbs also. But like shyne, I decided to stay with the D2r because the light output will be optimum for our type of reflector lenses. Although Hyde used the D2s and says they work great, which im sure they do, he had to re-adjust the height of his lenses. I'm thinking because he did that he was able to adjust the beam a little better. But either way I really didnt want to do any of that. I just wanted to do a direct swap! I'm sorry if that sounds somewhat confusing!! I figured I really couldnt go wrong with a direct swap. If the d2s does give a little more light, it really cant be that much more signifcant. Just my opinion!!

As for the shipping. They don't charge extra. And they said they are awaiting a shipment of more d2r bulbs this week and mine will ship as soon as they arrive. They said it will take about 5 business days till I receive them!!

Torx bit needed to remove security screw!

Just thought I would let you guys know that if you want to remove the torx screw that holds the cover to the HID bulb, you will need a size T-20 bit! I couldn't find the screwdriver with the T-20 bit so I bought bit set for about $21 from autobarn. It's made by Lisle and is called the 26000 Torx Tamper Resistant bit set. Some have also removed the screw using a small flat head screwdriver, i didn't have one small enough so I bought the bit set!
