A little O/T from the Mugen Grille... but it's on Grilles nonetheless.

What happens if you sand down the chrome part of the stock grille? Is it black underneath? Or is it some other nasty color? I am thinking of sanding the chrome away off of the "wings" extending away from the "A" logo. If it is not black, I'll probably have to paint it black to match the center piece of the grille. Any help/ hints??

Like I said, if I "f" it up... I'll get the Mugen grilles.

I'd guess it was black underneath, but it would probably look... like you sanded off the chrome. I thought about cutting the wings and center piece out of the plastic mesh and putting metal mesh in there, then slapping the wings and center piece on that. But I'd fvck it up fo sho.

Peep game:

See the little Mugen logo in the center of the grill? There is a black plastic thing that goes from the top to bottom of the opening, it is ~4" wide with the logo on it. Now peep my grill (previously Mike's ):

Mike cut out the piece and got some really strong gutter grill put in there. It's really solid. Sucks that you can see where the center plastic piece was cut away but its not noticeable unless you look real hard.

Anyway, I plan on getting more of that good grill mesh and doing my "foglight" holes and possibly the center hole between those. I got some cheap ass gutter grill but its too flimsy.

Tommy, how did you keep your gutter mesh on?

Hey look, I found a pic of a gril someone has done like what I was thinking, except they just painted it instead of using actual metal mesh.
