just got rotora/axxis - squeaking normal?

just got rotora/axxis - squeaking normal?

i recently had the rotora/axxis combo put on about 8 days ago. i still hear some squeaking when i am braking. is this normal?

Nope. Did you bed in those pads? Proper bed-in will get rid of that squeal and increase efficiency.

axxis suck (i have them). they squeel alot and make way to much dust

I got the Axis Deluxe pads on the 540. No dust and no squeaks.

Yeah, Axxis Ultimates will eventually squeel. They do have A LOT of break dust. They don't squeel at first, maybe after 5k miles. But after they get warmed up, about 10 "good" stops, the squeeling goes away

I picked them up from tirerack about 6 months ago. The fronts do seem to make quite a bit more dust than the OEM's, but they feel a bit more solid when stopping. I do have a little squeal problem, I think from one of the back pads. It is intermittent and I can't really figure out which wheel it is coming from, so I'm just ignoring it for now. One of these days, I'll pull the pads off again, and throw on some more Anit-Squeek goop, just haven't had the motivation lately.

Overall I am happy with the pads and will most likely purchase another set when the time comes.
