just got my moonroof fixed!
they installed some kit in there and lubbed it and it got rid of 98% of the noises.. i am happy 
and I saw some tech installing a bodykit for a new car so I went and took a look at it. Then asked him what he's gonna do to the stock chin and sides and he said they will be thrown away. Then the parts manager gave me the stock chin for free, in case I scrape mine.

That's cool, you have extra pieces. Save it for later. If you get too much dirt on those pieces and can't wash/polish it out, just switch it!
