Just got my EBP TL-P this wknd.... YAY!...but......
Ok so I just picked up my '03 TL from the dealer this weekend. The car is in great shape, runs great and the tranny taken care of according to carfax and ownerlink. The only problem is with the steering wheel mounted radio controls. Sometimes when i push the vol down button the vol goes up... but wait it gets better... when i push the vol up button either raises the vol or changes the channel. This happens intermittently, but its still annoying. Any ideas? Im still under factory warranty. But other than that this cars amazing.... much better than the camry i upgraded from.

WHOA thats crazy....Even though used car dealers are like the biggest liers in the world, you dont have to go back and shoot them if you dont like your lease....my professor once said that being a used car salesman back in the days(not that far back, hes pretty young). That was the only job he couldnt go to sleep without having a guilty conscience.....CUZ THEY BE SELLING YOU HUGE ( | ) Lemons O_o

Might be the position of the steering wheel. I listen to cd's only (radio is junk imo), and the volume buttons tend to change the track depending on the position of the steering wheel. It only happens on one small section for the vol. up and down buttons, but it happened often enough for me to notice.

Hmmm... actually now that you mention it I went out and looked at the steering wheel... its slightly off by 5 degrees at most. I guess i'll just take it to a local Acura dealer and see what they say. I was trying to see if it was something i could fix, b/c in my experience its the little things like this that keep your car in the shop for days for no apparent reason.

I got the same problem and took my car to the dealership. The technician told me that the ground copper wire on the switch came loose or something to that extend. It was a quick fix and it took them less than 20 minutes to fix it. Hope it helps.

its the ground copper ring around the steering column behind the coil spring. if u take a flat head screwdriver and push the tabs in closer to the column so they contact properly, it'll be fixed. i have the same problem, but have had no time to fix it.

Well I went to the dealer and it turned out to be a loose ground. Took 20 mins and got a free car wash out of it. Apparently there is a bulletin going around about this issue. The guy said he had like 4 of the same problem this week. So i guess you can go to a dealer and get it done. I was still under factory warranty so I didn't pay anything dunno about ppl who are out of warranty though.
