I have a VSM prokit mount already for my old xm setup, so I am going to get this miMount for my ipod: http://www.pro-fit-intl.com/mimount/
I am not completely familiar with the 02 dash but in my 04 it is in the top bin just below the head unit. I have it in direct mode and the cable is long enough that I can pull it out and adjust it to whatever playlist, artist, or just shuffle it if I want. That is my recommendation because I know the music on my ipod and I don’t need to read the name off the ipod to know the name of the song. PLUS, doing it this way keeps it completely hidden and no one will ever know that it is in there. To me a mounting bracket is a dead give away to a thief that there is likely and ipod in the car.

it also looks nice having the ipod visible especially at night time (i keep my backlight always on at night) or if you have all the album art icons.

Back when removable radios were popular, people used to leave "No Radio Inside" signs on their cars. The joke used to be that radio thieves would break into the cars in spite of the sign and leave a note "Just Checking".
A Kuda mount will definitely increase the odds for a break-in. This is probably not a big deal if you keep the car in low crime areas but it's something to consider.
BTW, I think the Kuda mounts are a great product otherwise.

Yes, I have the USA-sepc adaptor and it allows you to play both CDs from the headunit and the ipod. If you push the CD button on the headunit it selects the CD player, if you press the CD button again you get something that says "CD-C' and that plays the ipod.
If you do a search for the USA-spec ipod adaptor you will find tons of threads on it. I think it is one of the best things I have done to my car. Oh yea..the install is a piece of cake too.

First of all for anyone who is looking make sure you get the USA-Spec PA11-HON2Y, the 2Y is very important, it has a split that makes the install much easier and doesnt require any wire cutting on the USA-Spec harness. For my 04 there is one plug on the drivers side of the headunit that you unplug and plug that into the "female" adaptor on the USA-Spec piece and then plug the "male" piece into the headunit. That is it, you're done. The sound is amazing.
