Ipod interface
Hi I have a 2002 TLS with Navi and I want to connect me new ipod directly to the stereo. I have researched a lot of these threads and from what I see the Blitzsafe seems to be the best choice. I don't want to deal with any of the issues that the other brands seem to have. My question is, does anyone know the difference between BlitzSafe HON/M-Link1 DMX V.1 and BlitzSafe HON/M-Link1 DMX V.1D? It seems that both are specified for my car...so which do I get?
Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the help.
Do you have the Bose 6CD in dash changer/cassette combo? I have that set up along w/ factory navigation and I've been getting mixed answers on if these adapters work. I've chatted w/ Nick@DICE on here and their set up DOES NOT work w/ the set up I have in my car..
I do have the factory Bose with 6 disc in dash. I bascially just want to hook up my ipod direct. I have read a lot of these threads and have concluded that the Blitzsafe will work best for what I have. I just don't know which one of those to get. Not sure what the difference is. I wrote an email to enfig car stereo and asked them, but have not heard back yet. Was hoping someone on here might know the difference or what I need to get.

I have a 2003 Acura TL with in-dash 6-cd changer, installed the Blitzsafe - HON/M-Link1 DMX V.1 a few years back, works beautifully still. When I installed it I took someone's advice I read somewhere (most likely here) and felt around the back of the stacker blindly until I managed to get it plugged in back there without having to take the whole stacker out .. took ~20 minutes.
Just got a reply to this message:
"Dear stereosource,
I have a 2002 Acura TL w/ factory navigation AND the Bose in dash 6disc changer/cassette combo. Is this PA11-HON compatible with my car?

And this is what I got....

No, it is not. Thanks."
So the Blitzsafe seems to be the safest bet, the DICE R2 and the USA Spec PA-11 are not compatible. Still looking around though.

I am a complete newbie when it comes to cars. I purchased the Blitzsafe model BLITZSAFE_HON_AUX_DMX_V1 Blitzsafe HON/AUX DMX V.1 about 8 months ago for about $60 from Enfig. I used a link from this site on how to take apart the center console and get the thing installed. (I think the thread was for a CL, but it was the same for a TL). (I mainly opened up the center console because I was also going to wire a power supply to the cig lighter in the armrest).
In about 2 hours I was completely done. I'm sure other people got it done in about 10 minutes, though. Amazingly simple, and I think the sound quality is great. Since it gives you just a normal set of stereo right/left input jacks, you can plug in just about any stereo audio device (IPod, other mp3 player, satellite radio, etc).
Just remember, the Blitzsafe model I mentioned above is just for audio. No control of your device is provided by this model.
