Ipod and FM transmitter

im so sick of listening to the radio in my TL because my in dash changer isnt working.

is anyone else using an ipod and a nice fm transmitter to hear your music, and maintain the Bose sound?

i think an ipod would be a way better alternative to having to buy a new headunit, and then having to have a ton of cd's in the car. (atleast for me it is)

I'd skip the FM transmitter and go with an iPod/MP3 adapter that plugs into the back of the factory head unit.

The sound quality with a direct hookup will be much better than a transmitter.

Dont use the shitty transmitter. Get a Blitzsafe or icelink adapter.

^ ya they do. Really clear and you don't have to hook them up in the back. Just pop it in

Personally I’ve never had the Fm transmitter work well enough in my car to use it. I use the cassette adapter but it doesn’t always reproduce the best sound but with mp3 that doesn’t really matter all the much. i would use the direct link but the cassette adapter works good enough for me at the moment

I'm not sure. That's a good question.

What type of behavior are you seeing when you try to use the CD player?

Do you just have a jammed CD? If so, there are some strategies for fixing that without a lot of expense.

Depending on whats wrong with the Hu it should It has nothing to do with the CD changer, just uses the button to switch to that input.

I use to have FM transmitter and it sucked. Even tried to hardwire an inline FM trasmitter and that also sucked. I have the cassett adapter and it gives decent sound. I am going to get my hands on the direct adapter because you can here a slight his with the cassett and I think the sound will be better by going direct.

the cd and tape player dont work in my car. i didnt know the tape player dosent work until today when i found a "best of rick james" tape at work and tried to listen to it in my car.

so basically my only option's are fm transmitter which people say suck, or direct connect...which seems to be the way i want to go.

getting my ipod tonight or fri night.

Alright kids, I'm on the blitzsafe site now and there are 2 different options. I'm in an 01 with nav, no changer in deck or in trunk.

HON/AUX DMX V.1 or HON/AUX DMX V.1D (3)

Anyone know this one?

Wow, I like that. All the intelligent connectivity! But I was wanting to keep my stock unit. I plan on putting something like that in when / if I do a full audio setup.
