Does anyone know how much the dealer pays for that OEM Kit? they charge like 1555 but if i know the invoice price, then I can haggle with the guy, any help would be appreciated.

I'll save you some haggling... buy it from here and you'll only have to pay $829. Better yet... sign up for a premium membership... and it's even less

Once you receive it from here... simply go to the link below to install it and you're all set.. for about half the price

I ordered my body kit from here. Well actually ACP, I only paid 829.00. The shipping is a little high 125.00, but it was hassle free and still a heck of alot cheaper than the dealer. I saved a few bucks putting it on myself. It wasn't that hard, I used the dir found in the FAQ on this site. If you need some help let me know.

By the way I'm pretty new here whats with the premium membere discount. How does it work? How much?

For those who had the membership question... click on the link below. That should answer your questions As JPTLS21 said... it's very seamless buying stuff from Tim on here. I've purchased several items and I've never had a problem.... shipping is always fast, etc. Prices aren't bad either... but I'll tell you this.. if you sign up to be a Premium member... the price will be below what everyone already posted (except paultl... but his prices are for the 99-01 kit). Oh and if you want to go the route that Paultl mentioned... you can also get a discount on the 99-01 kit... so the price would be even lower.

Doesnt say anything on how much the discount would be.

Only says "MVC - Most Valued Customer access to discounts on parts."

You could not do the 99-01 kit b/c as you said... they did not make ABP until '02... so you would need the '02 kit.

Aman13AK - the discounts vary on every item... so there's no rule as far as percentages on items, etc. Put it this way... the bodykit is just under $800 with the discount for the '02-'03 kit.. painted.

acnup00tl- I might be interested. Do you get everything at 20% discount at the dealership? Which dealership do you get it at?

melo, if we buy, it'll just be right here in SOCAL. Reason being is that we wouldn't have to pay for shipping. If we threw on shipping to get it to you in DC, you'd be paying more than if you bought it here.

the only reason I'm buying from the dealer is because I'm not sure how much stuff I'd buy through this site, so if the kit was it, then $50 for mbrship + $780 for kit + $85 shipping would put me @ $915. I save a little going through the dealer, but if I then decide to get my CAI & of course headers here, it would have been advantageous to pay the mbrship fee.

anyway...to each his own. I've had no problems with Tim. I trust he's giving us rock bottom prices already. I'd suggest getting through this site.

Question

acnup00tl ,

Can you look into an eternal blue pearl kit for me? I'm trying to negotiate a price from a Canadian Acura dealer and right now, they're quoting me with C$2380 + tax (that's about US$1475 before tax! It does include installation price)

I would LOVE to buy it from ACP.com but I had to pay C$40 (US$25) for shipping and handling fee from UPS for a tiny box that had my PIAA 9006 fog bulbs in them! I shudder at the thought about a body kit coming across the border!

I have been trying to contact Detroit-area dealers about the price of a kit but haven't heard back from any of them. Columbus OH isn't too far away from me (I live directly across from Detroit MI) and I wouldn't mind the drive to Ohio to get a good price on a kit.

If some sort of arrangement can be made, I would probably ask your Acura dealer to install it on my car ... I wonder if that would cause a problem??? I want to install the kit before I cross the border -- I don't wanna have to pay duty on something I don't want to. If you could get back to me, please write me back at:

derrick@acura.tl.com

Or... I could check out this tread. Thanks in advance!
