interested in DIY to remove wipers/nozzles
i removed my windshield wipers, nozzles, reservoirs and fluid lines. and then i filled in gap in hood where nozzles use to be and painted it. i wash my car twice a week and use rainX so i have no use for them and rarely used them. they make the car look alot cleaner in my opinion.
so i want to know if anyone was interested in me writing up a DIY.

Uhh
You know those are a required by law item on your car right?
If you head up to the mountains in snow- you MUST have FUNCTIONING wiper spayers and blades
Sometimes they actually make you show they work because its a real issue to be able to clean stuff from your windshield
Its all about safety

That mod might work in California or other places with little rain, but people driving in any winter-belt location would not go for this mod. Agree with 01tl4tl....safety>looks. I tried Rain X and you still need some forward movement to push/bead water up and away. If standing still and got splashed with junk/grime, you still need physical movement to remove the grime from the windshield.

how about running the lines to the wipper itself? my moms malibu is like that, it connects to the metal of the blade where you put the wippers on, and you have the tube running down the metal back into the hood?

If you really need to mess with the wiper sprayers- just go to a parts store and buy the LED ones and have lights on the hood!!!!
Warning RED or BLUE is LE use only and will get you pulled over for impersonating

The really slick method to relocate the sprayers would be to glue them to the underside of the hood- hidden yet aimed at the window

Hey i have an idea - just to make the rotors look cool and lessen the overall weight of the car, Lets all remove our brake pads...that'll look real cool, and I hardley ever use them!! - Dude, dumbest idea i've read yet on this forum....not recommended at all!!! What are you thinking....as others have pointed out....you have to have whipers by law...DUH...

My 03 TLs is like this already?! There are no nozzles on the hood, it is under the hood aimed at my window! Are the 99-01's different???? Or, am I missing the boat on this. My nozzles put a perfect spray on my windshield now. I do like the GM's and how they integreate the nozzle with the wiper arm..it puts the fluid perfectly on the window at all speeds.

to the guys refering to the law....you guys care about whats legal on our cars all of a sudden? lol thats the biggest contradiction ive heard.
cjitty-yea 02-03 nozzles are hidden by hood, and i think its a great idea how GM does have that innovative design.
ill go ahead and make one for those who want. if you dont want one, just ignore it, dont make stupid comments that makes you lose respect for yourself. i use my wipers maybe one day in a month. so i dont need them.
3.2TL-yea i painted them myselves with the leftover painted i got from paintscratch. its 50 bucks for a set of 2 cans though. i think they make a small can as well.

Of course, this mod might cause the award to be retired permanently.

You also might want to remove the seatbelts too, it'll really improve the look of the car. I mean, it's not like you're going to get in an accident or anything. Besides, airbags will work just as well. Or did you already remove those?

Getting sponsored isnt that tough...getting full sponsorships is. Most companies will give you products at dealer cost as long as your car is modded. Many times you will need to write a proposal. I went through this a few times, but ended up not using the products or going a different route. As for the idea in this thread, living in the NE this wouldnt bode too well, and even though I dont really drive my car and its pretty much built for show I still wouldnt do this...

Hell man, if you can put a 6 speed tranny/engine in your car...this project should be like putting air in your tires!

yea working on a whole DIY right now, lil hard since its already done. itll prolly just wont have as detailed pics as most.
on a side not. lets not get immature and carry yourself in a respective manner. and seriously dont tell me its the law like you guys care. 95% of you guys have illegal tint and half the stuff on your car is illegal.
easiest sponsorship is through local shops or stores.
i dont know if you call this sponsorship but i got one set of free front and rear rotors and pads for free. i talked with owner lil and hes real chill and i told him i would promote his store to people. his wife was very nice too, later she told me if ever my rotors were warped, shed replace them for free.
