intake resonator removal question

wats good fellas??.....im about to remove my intake resonator and i just wanted to kno do we HAVE TO replace the air filter wit a K&N Filter right away or not??.....will it damage the car in any way??.....thanks guys

i used my stock one for a few months before i went cai, don't think it matters

As long as the air is getting filtered, it doesn't matter. As the name implies, the intake resonator is there to reduce noise, nothing else.

i just took mine out and it was kind of a @#$@...cause i tried not taking the wheel fender liner off but i had to anyways and i broke off the resonator cause i could find no other way to take it out so i yanked on it and it broke in half and i moved it out

and i also replaced it with a K&N filter

sounds just a lil bit louder but not really...haven't really pushed it since it is like my 2nd 3rd day driving after...

im assuming you didnt remove the bumper and the bolts holding the resonator in place lol???.....yea im gonna do mine soon but im not gonna buy the air filter right away i need to save up some money
