Hey i was wondering if a AEM intake from 2001 CLS would fit my 99' Tl ?? I wanna know before i buy it and get stuck with it. Please help...thanks

The pipe is different for the Type S because of the VSA. They do make one for the TL, check Tim's parts page.

 

Thanks alot guys...Yes, i know they make one for the tL but i was getting a pretty good deal from another seller. Plus he already have the bypass installed so i dont have to mess with it. You guy think 230.00 is a good deal for it?

 

It is not a good deal because it will not fit your car perfectly. The pipe will be too short.

yeah got a injen one, need to have a little deeper sound, thinking about getting the aem and trying it out

So the injen is pretty quiet?? I don't care too much about how loud it is.. in fact, i would rather have the same HP gains but it be very quiet.. How is the "hissing" compared to other CAI's?

 

The hissing is noticeable at idle, but if you have the windows up you don't hear it.

This is correct, as the CLS/TLS pipe is about 0.25" bigger then the TL.
