i went with the comptech ice box. it looks and sounds almost like stock. and supposedly it gives the most hp gains.

Do a search if it's working properly. This topic has been discussed many times.

I would say go ahead and do it. I would recommend the injen race division cold air intake. With comptech, you dont really hear the hissing and the growl the injen ca gives. This kinda takes a lot of the fun away.

the v2 is supposed to be better? no one has any dyno #'s to prove it. the comptech is the best with the most hp gains, but it isnt as loud and sounds closest to factory. the aem is a close 2nd with hp gains, and is going to be louder (its what most are looking for with sound)
