installing my headers today. answer this for me

i have the xs. do i need to use the gaskets that came with it or do i use the stock gaskets? whats wrong with the bolts it came with? i think they look good...but what do i know. relieve my ignorance

For the long run it's just better for you...the XS gaskets are cheap material compared to OEM and the bolts are weak. Buy grade 8 or better bolts. If your stock gaskets are still good...reuse em or buy new OEM gaskets from the dealer or wherever.

People suggest to reuse the oem gasket, and get a higher quality bolts. the bots that come with the xs are not high quality bolts.

yea. do this. i didn't use any of this and now im like.. regretting all the work i did for nothing. lol.


i jus changed out my gaskets cuz they were like... gone. and there was almost nothing there so i had a bad leaking noise..

wasn't fun changing them out...

cool. ill rinse reuse and recycle. ill get the bolts too

I would suggest getting all new oem gaskets for $40. I did. There is indentions fromt he headers on the oem gaskets.

I also got grade 8 10x40mm bolts, 10mm nuts, and 10mm washers at lowes
