Installing an Icebox?

hey guys

i will be installing the Comptech Icebox tomorrow at the garage

according to your experience, how long does it take for a professional to install the icebox? they charge for 50 bucks an hr for labour

i think it should be around 1-1.5 hr right?

please don't tell me "do it urself" and blah blah blah coz i am living in a condo and got no tools to install anything.

all you need is a 10MM wrench really... but it should not take an hour... i had never done it before and i got it done in 45 minutes, which was kinda a lot.

you dont have to reset anything for an intake installation. Not enough of a difference for the ECU, but if you want to, just unhook the battery for a minute or so, and yes you will need the radio/navi codes.

Really simple hand tools and a buddy is all you need to install an intake. dont waste your money on a mechanic, if they say it will take them anywhere near 1 hour, they are lying. They could do it in probably 20 minutes.

i got more jobs for him to do later on, i doubt he will rip me off, coz both me and my frd's Sentra SE-R has a lot of stuff to put on

even to take the bumper off you only need a 10 mm wrench/socket and flathead and philips screw driver to do the instal.

shouldnt take more than 30-45 min to do the instal

they didnt have to remove the front bumber on my car when i got it installed. as far as the resetting the ecu is concerned as i said its not essential but its not a bad idea either. you are going to need the radio code when they reconnect the battery but that shouldnt be a big deal.

with your exhaust and icebox you should gain about 13-15whp. as soon as you get it put on get on the highway and test her out! be sure to tell us how it all goes man!
