Installing Foglight bulbs
Installing Foglight bulbs
Hey everyone,
I just bought the Gold max yellow bulbs and now I need to install it. Can anyone tell me how I can install this to my foglight? Detail instruction will be appreciated.
thanks all

I'm not sure I have time for a 'detailed' write-up, but I'll do what I can.
I think there are 2 ways; either remove the fog light kit from the front, or, the way I prefered, through the wheel well.
To go through the wheel well, you have to remove the plastic tabs that hold the plastic panels to the car. A flathead screwdriver will do. Remove all the ones around the wheel well, and then the few holding the plastic panel on the corner of the bumper (right under the fog light, basically). Loosen up that last panel, so you can slide your arm inside. Reach in and see if you can feel the fog light. Give it that quarter twist to remove it. With your new bulb, DO NOT touch the glass. Try not to let it touch anything, actually. ANY oils on it (it can get oil from anywhere, oil kicked up from the road...) can shorten the life of the bulb. So, try and not let it touch anything and put it in the bulb fixture, secure it, then replace the tabs. Should be about it. Maybe someone knows of an easier way, but it worked for me.

I just go under the car, unscrew a couple of those plastic tabs and wiggle my arm in there and do the quarter turn you talk about. Piece of cake. Didn't take me more than 5 minutes to install both bulbs.

What year is your car?
On my 2003, all I needed was a 10mm socket on a 6" extension to remove the nut that holds the housing in place. Then use a flathead screwdriver to pop off the housing.
If you look under the front end lip, you'll see a tab cutout underneath the fog light area that has the 10mm bolt visible. Just remove it and pop off the housing.
Changing both bulbs should take about 15 min. or so.
