Thumbs up Installed random tech hi-flo cat converter. results excellent

I decided that I wanted to get the cat on now, so my friend just helped me install the random tech hi flo cat. It took about an hour to do everything. Simple bolt on install, not bad at all. Inside the car, the sound is a little deeper but not excessively loud. It feels like there is better throttle response and top end power. I would have to conclude that this mod was much better than the pulleys which felt like they did nothing.

Is the high flo cat legal in CA? Is this one from Snook? I forget which brand he sells.

Hmmm... how is the pipe size compared to the stock? How much wider is it?

The cat is legal, the pipe size is 2.5"

I asked snook the brand of his cat and it was a cgs cat. I hear the random ones are the best legal ones in the market though.

The random ones are more expensive, they're 260 on the site. My friend works at a speed shop and he sold me one for 190 shipped.

I was just reading this page and it seems this guy got a good gain from the cat too: http://www.geocities.com/researchtri...d/accord01.htm

I was looking at his Dyno and he only gained 16HP to the wheel with the addition headers and cat. I have to assume the headers gave a minimum of at least 12 to 15 HP.
