Installed OBX headers--question.
Pohanka Acura installed my OBX headers today. Yes, there were some fit problems. Mainly, the outer-most holes on the header didn't line up exactly to the block. So, the tech had to drill the hole out just a bit. Also, on the down spout portion of the exhaust, there are only "drop-down" bolts rather than studs. This also made the installation more difficult to "line-up."
All-in-all, the tech felt as though they are just fine.
However, between 2,000 and 2,550 RPM's I have a different sound. I haven't figured it out yet, but for those of you who have them installed, did you notice any sound difference in this range?
Thanks!

Good luck with them, people that i have seen on the board with these headers, seem to be complaining about the built quality and reliability
specially when it comes to the welds. But as someone else on the board also mentioned, that you get what you paid for. Personally i would have opted , which i did, for the comptechs. As far as the sound goes, really cant help you there, search for OBX Headers, and a million thread would pop out, just go through them and see if someone else also mentioned the same topic. Again goodluck with the headers, i hope you have better luck with them than someone who didnt.

Obx
I have had my OBX headers for almost a year and no issues. I have the same sound in the 2000-2300 RPM range, It's called "resonance" you just have to deal with it not much you can do. The sound tones down a little once the car has been running for awhile. Good luck...
