Well, i finally put it in... even tho i have the bypass valve..i decided to wait until maybe wednesday to cut the pipe and put that part in...

Anyhow... the CAI sounds great... really grumbly when you push it hard..and you can hear it sucking in air.. i love it.

my friend with an IS300 says i should just save up for the SC..but.. i'm telling him about the "mystery mod" and the CAI..

i can't wait..

anyhow.. the instructions on the site are great..it's not all that hard to put in..just a ***** to get everything out..and fitting perfectly..

 

Congrats! How's it sound at regular speeds (0 - 60 mph)? I'm still thinking about doing this mod too... but I only want to hear the growl at high speed. When does the growl kick in? And does it sound too loud in the cabin when all windows are up?

Rather than sounding loud when you go faster..it's more about how hard you hit your pedal and push the RPM's.. when you roll your window down..and sittin' idle..you can hear a slight hiss...but it sounds nice..

i reallie like the aggressiveness of the whole thing..i think it was worth my money.

 

Cool I got mine on today too.........it kicks in around 4500! This $hit makes your car sound bad! I love it! Best mod for right now for the money! Until the "mystery mod" comes out!
