installation help

installation help

So i just bought the apexi ws2 very pumped for it to get here. what does everyone think of the set up. Now i have a question on how to install it, is it just all bolts for do you have to do anything else like spot weld or something like that. My bolts are rusty so what is a good way to get them off.

nothing special to install, just bolting and hooking. spray wd40 before trying to unscrew the rusted nuts and bolts.

do you have the apexi exhaust too or install it before, so there is no clamping or anything

Also, get some PB Blaster and start spraying them now. It is a penetrating oil and will actually break down the rust inside the threads, a lot better than WD-40 will. Just spray the bolts that you will need to remove down with it like once or twice a day for about a week or less before it gets here. Also, spray them down right before you start actually working on them, and spray more if they are being stubborn.

I did this to my cat and headers bolts when my headers were on the way and it made installation so much easier. Everyone else was talking about 6 or even 11 hours to do the header install because of all the stubborn bolts that they couldn't get out and had to end up cutting and drilling these broken bolts out. I did my whole header install in a few hours by myself thanks to this method.

just wanted to make sure it was all bolts and nothing else, and i guess i have to deal with the rusty bolts some how

if its a cat back or axle back designed for the TL its just bolts
