Install Question

I know im gonna get yelled at for not doing it myself. . . .

That being said, how long should it take a mechanic to install spark plugs on the 99 TLp. . .I called one place and he said its gonna be an hour of labor ($60) I thought that sounded nuts. . . Any ideas??

yea, thats ridiculous. Are you sure the 60 doesnt include new spark plugs? should take no more than 20 minutes for a mechanic to do all 6...

Better be 60 bucks including spark plugs. But I would rather recommend buying better plugs with that money and install them yourself. It's so easy.

I already bought NGK's. The price he quoted was for one hour of labor, which he charges 60 bucks for. My question was basically should it take a mechanic that long, and i didnt think the answer was yes, but i wanted to make sure. . maybe ill just try it myself, how hard can it be already. . im not a total moron

thats teh shop rate for a hour. shops dont charge by the minute. wether it takes them 15 min or 1 hr you get billed the same. if you dont feel comfortable doing it pay some one. it should only take about 30 min to do though

They should have half hour labor rate, though. Most shops do.

Maybe the mechanic thinks it'll take more than half an hour.
