Yo, whats up everyone? Just curious about the inspire rain guards.. i got them but have no clue how to install them, they came with zero instructions!! will my dealership know how to do it? since it is similar to the sunroof visor? i wanna do it myself but need some help. value tl sent me pics cause i got them from him, but it really didnt help me!!!!
There are 3 clips you need to mount under the door seal in each front window, and one in the rear.
For the front: pull the rubber seal out from the door at the top until it reaches the sides (check the picture in the Japanese instructions, it will show the seal hanging at the top with just an inch or so out on the side.) Surprisingly the seal goes back in pretty easily, although it looks like it will be a b*tch when you first pull it out.
Then position the visor so you can see approximately where the clips need to be... there is a small tab on the visor front that slips under the panel by the mirror, and some other clip that goes in the frame toward the A-pillar. The clips have a round hole and a rectangular hole - the round hole is to the outside. I located the clips by putting them in the visor to position and then stuffing the door seal back in to hold them. The two front ones are easiest but the rear is kind of a problem because the rear side seal needs to be out to clip in the visor. I sild that into final position after putting the seal most of the way back in. Once I was satisfied with the clip positions I put the visor on and finished putting the seal back in place.
I never figured out a good time to remove the backing on the double stick tape on the visor - so I did not remove it. I just screwed the visor to the clips and it seems to hold OK on the front.
The rear door is easier. There is only one clip to install near the front, and a built in clip on the rear of the visor that is tricky to get to hold. I recommend figuring out a the right time to remove the tape backing for the rear! Mine are not real secure without the tape.

I will try to locate the instructions and scan them tonight. Look for an email, or maybe I wll post the scans.
There are some (after install) pics in this thread from a month ago... I wish I'd have taken pics while doing the install!
