Question INSPIRE conversion...

Those that have done the INSPIRE badging on the trunk, what "H" badge did you use. Will the "H" emblem from an Accord work? Are the two alignment pins the correct spacing to fit where the "A" badge on the TL trunk is?

Thanks!

Why don't you order the Inspire badging from Japan.

Nope. Accord H doesn't fit on our TL.

But you can get rid of 2 tabs and just use double side tape.

I got mine from Japan. It's for UA4 INSPIRE. UA5 uses different H.

Ok, maybe I'm missing something here. Why would you want to put a Honda badge on your TL

This link will explain it all...

http://www.acura-tl.com/forum/showth...threadid=67966

In Japan, what we call the Acura TL is the Honda Inspire so that's what folks want when they do the JDM conversion on the trunk. I like the look so that's what I'm trying to do to my car.

BTW (Noob observation): Paul's (Songoku) TL has got to be the textbook Inspire conversion, seem's like he's got ALL the cool JDM items.

Thanks y'all for the replies.

I agree. Songoku's conversion is quite nicely done. One last thing he could/should have gotten too is the Mugen front half bumper.

As far as I know there are only two of these in Canada

Lightbulb

I was able to find a black JDM "H" emblem, like the one in Songoku's pics, which I'll use.

I forgot to mention that since I have the Mugen rear spoiler which comes down just below the contour of the trunk, the open "H" badge would probably have to be mounted a bit lower in order to clear it and therefore would probably expose the alignment holes if I just broke off the pins. I think the solid "H" badge is the only way for me to go.

I'll post a pic in my gallery when it's complete...

Cool

Update...

My JDM "H" badge came in today so my INSPIRE conversion is complete. The JDM badge alignment pins are correct for the TL so no cutting necessary; it's how Soichiro meant it to be!

I think its just to be different from the countless other tl's on the road. That was something i was planning to do when i had my TL. To be different from other g35's, i rebadged my car 'nissan skyline 350gt' (the jdm name)
