Infiniti G35

Saw the G35 for the first time in real life today. I always liked it on the website. Seeing it in person changed my mind, it looks like and IS300 and and Kia Spectra had sex and made this car. The front end looks so IS 300 and the ass looks exactly like the KIA. Sure it quick, looks like sh-it though.

They are only selling a lil over 3k a month, far below the TL. People like bland more than ugly.

It is true that the G35 is ugly, but the TL is not bland. I think the styling is great.

just that if u r able to afford one like this...u expect to choose a pretty one instead of just performance wise....

ppl don't reallie look into that fvcking little edge of performance the G35 has....if u want performance...a camero or mustang maybe a much more logical choice

This is true...looks are very subjective. As a former TL-S owner, I loved the simplicity of its style...what others may call bland, I felt was class.

As a new owner of a G, I feel the same way. I think it has classic good looks...not too overstated, yet different enough not to be weird. That's my particular taste...I love the way both cars look...oh, and I think the IS300 is great too (ALMOST bought one).

Well it's an opinion that is all. I find some cars bland. At least it's not ugly IMO (remember).

I don't think there is any car PERIOD that everyone likes, just not possible.

I almost bought an IS300 as well. However, the lack of space and the stuff that they make the seats with did not suit well with me in the end.

I like the looks of both the G35 and TLS but for me they are both a bit bland looking. The OEM bodykit did wonders for the looks of my wife's TLS and completely transformed it to a much more sporty look. The one for the G35 sedan seems to only make a marginal improvement though and carries a 2000.00 price tag! Of course, this is just my very subjective opinion.

Before you bash the the G35's sports package realize that there is a perpose for the kit other than to rice up the car like the tls.

If you are talking about the G35 kit that has the underbody difuser, it is used to give the car zero lift. Not used just for cosmetic purposes.

Oh yeah in reference to the IS300, I was planning to get one last year. But realized how cheap that car was. For $35k i would have expected less plasticky feel in the interior. My 92 corolla was made with better material.

Seems like you have difficulty differentiating between an opinion and a bashing. Perhaps you feel that any opinion contrary to your own is a bashing? I assure you that it isn't because I LIKE the G35.

Perhaps you would benefit from reading my post and the G35 product literature again. I clearly stated my observation was subjective and I never called the sports package into question. The sports package comes with the "Zero Lift" underbody diffusers which should not be confused with the body spoilers which are purely aesthetic. The body spoiler kit for the G35 is additional and costs more than $2000.00. In my subjective opinion, the aesthetic effects of the body spoilers are pretty subtle. You feel that the TLS body kit makes the TL look rice but that is merely YOUR subjective opinion and you are welcome to it.

good post DHB
so if you think the IS300's interior is cheap, then what are we waiting for? let the g35-interior-bash begin!

the IS is nothing about luxury, it's purely a fun car, it has an excellent chassis and the steering and suspension settings are right on; yes the interior is cheap, so what? you get what you pay for, it is far more entertaining to drive than the G35, which claims to be world's best sports sedan, well, ya ok, that's marketing for ya

people get what they pay for
i'm not saying that the g35 is bad at all, i like it as well, but it's not what it's all hyped up to be, that's all

The IS is not about luxury. well the is300 was designed by toyota to be sodd in its LUXURY line Lexus. And for the $35k-$40K price tag, the IS surely is priced with all the competing entry lux branded cars. Did lexus achieve that, i don't think so.

Nissan never claimed the G35 as the best sports sedans. there are plenty of better sports sedans. I.e GS430, BMW 5 series. etc. etc.

But the G35 is the best damn sports sedan for its price range. This is backed by EVERY single car magazine so far that has done a comparison.

Personally, some colours of the G35 make the car look great, (black) and lighter colours look aweful. I think the Altima is a much better looking vehicle, as is the TL.

It is obvioyus that SOME G35 people come here because they feel insecure about their rides. Bottom line is if you have nothing to contribute but bashing, you are insecure and experiencing what we call TLS envy.

the IS was designed to be a sportier car of the class JUST LIKE THE G35, don't you get what i'm saying? i keep saying this, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, whether how much better the car is is worth the extra price or not is your decision
you buy the IS, you get even sharper handling, but you sacrafise some luxury and good ergonomics
just like the TL and G35 case, you get more performance (handling wise ONLY) but you sacrafise good ergonomics, some quality, and luxury

i'm not biased towards the TL, but you sure are biased toward the ALL MIGHTY( ) G35
