Im starting to get sick of Acura..

im disappointed by the quality of their product (tranny problems, squeaks, radio not playing cd's, weak brakes, etc etc..)

for example: how come the radio in my wife's 2001 Sonata (about 15-17000$) can play CDs better than my 30k Acura, or why doesnt it squeak like my "entry-level luxury car".. oh and the seats feel much more solid too.. the driver seat in my acura is loose and i need to pay like 250$ to get it fixed .. and i could list even more things like that...

oh and im disappointed of the customer service too.. sucks.. (at least where i go..)

LoL, I'd pick the Acura over the Sonata anyday (and yes I drove a sonata before). I do agree with you on some issues, my major beef is with wind noise and rattles. MOST of the squeaks and rattles were fixed by my dealer. I was really disappointed with my cd player not playing CDRs but after I got it replaced underwarrenty it plays everything I threw at it. So right now I'm a happy camper again. Also my Acura hasn't had a transmission problem (knock on ugly fake wood trim) or any major problem except the gas gauge being wrong (that was fixed too). Guess they can't please everyone.

 

Also dealership experience varies. I tried two dealers before I settled on the current one. The previous one is closer but I'll drive 10 more miles (or more) for the good customer service.

No problems here, and if the tranny goes....then it goes, I'll worry about it then.

 

By comparing my TL to the Sonata i didnt mean id take the hyundai over my car if i had to choose between them.. i just tried to show that there shouldnt be such problems with a 30k (problems that are not on a 15k car..) hey even my cousin's chevrolet has had less problem than my car...


but hey i sure do like my TL.. im just sick of going to the dealer again, again and again... for:

cracked piston - replaced block
heated seat element fried - replaced
radio wont play burned cds (sometimes will)
driver seat loose
console squeaks
oil leaking
ignition (recall)
3 set of warped rotors (weak brake system)
inaccurate gaz gauge - fixed
windows trim bubbled
paint peeling on the mufflers
and more...

But i still love my car :p

Are you trying to say that the sonata is a better quality car than the TL.

 

NO!!!!!!!!!!!! Im trying to say that Acura still have some work to do on the TL.. and i honestly hope they will have corrected a few problems on the so waited 2004 TL

How can I say this..... I LOVE MY TL!!!!!!
