hey guys.i own my 99 tl since it was new and now I have it in europe for the last 10 years.
I love the car,just never let me down.it has 160K and still no major defects.Ive benn driving it on a LPG gas for the last 8 years and I have to adjust the valves more offten.
my problem is that I just geting bored with it latly.I need more power and better sound.
what do you suggest I should do to my car?exhust?mainfold?pulley?or maybe other suggest?I dont want to spend more than couple of thousend $.Turbo kit I think is to expensiv,maybe supercharged?

Basic Power Upgrades, headers, cold air intake, pulley's, tb/im spacers, and a catback with a highflow cat. Couple thousand dollars? If you have money I would do the CL-S 6MT swap.

 

and you could swap intake manifolds with a type S to gain a little more.

Maybe nitrous could give you the power you hunger.

 

what brand of headers would you recomend than?
tb/im?????????what is that?
nitro is out of my options.Im 35 already.too old for that.
what about the high cat flow?we dont really have emmisions test here,so I could go all the way on that.where schould i look for it?
I really like auto trans and doing the 6speed is no option.

MR maker. i suggest you swap in a manual transmission. it will yeild more power than any of those mods and if u do the work yourself it can be done for under 1500 dollars if u keep your engine

 

if you could find a 6mt and all the necessary parts in poland...

swaping to manual is out of my options.I know i \t would change a lot but thats a lot of work,espesialy messing up the inside interior wchich I dont like to mess with.
So far I got :
-tb and mainfold
-cold air intake
-catback with a highflow cat
how many HP would I gain on all of this?

 

 

forget the tb and manifold. the gains are minimal without headers. get headers and a 2.5 intel/outles cat with a 2.5 exhaust all the way back. i just did it and it was a huge gain.

 

i agree headers will gain the most hp on these cars. Supercharger will cost quite a bit and your tranny most likely won't like you for it.

 

I can see on ebay that the headers range from 120 $ up to over a 1000$.what is the difference?anybody used the cheap ones?
any suggestions on the catback high flow?
