Talking I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaack

So, as many of you may know, I had a little encounter with a deer on Sunday night that resulted in an uninjured deer and a totaled TL. Well, what happened next is kinda crazy. One of my family friends is a car dealer and he has access to private dealer auctions. They have auctions every Wednesday, and in a matter a few hours we got the information of the total, told our family friend who was already at the auction and aware of our situation, and he got a really great deal on a car! So we've bought an '03 WDP TL-P with beige interior with a little more than 32,000 on the odo! I'm staying with Acura baby. Of course, I wanted a Type-S with nav, but the auctions go by so fast that you can't wait around for that one car that you want, you need to make a quick decision if the car is in good condition and the price is right. They did have a WDP TL type-s with 31000 miles on it, which I would have obviously wanted most, but this car came before that one and we got it for a good deal. And we needed a car soon because we have a bunch of big events coming up where we need another car. So enough talking, here are some pics:

I'll take some better pics tomorrow during the day. It can use a good wash and wax, but the paint is almost flawless, as is the interior. I'll be putting my Comptech axlebacks on ASAP. What do you guys think?

16k...and I got really good money for my totaled TL because it was in good condition, had low mileage, etc., so it didn't end up costing me too much

A year and a half ago, I bought (from a dealer) a 2002 TL-P with 33k miles for $17k. Not sure how that auction is such a great deal at that price.

Well the KBB dealership value of the car is $22,000+...so, ? It seems like a really good deal. Maybe you guys got lucky at the dealership? And did your $17k include all the associated fees? Also, considering how much I got for my 2000 vs. how much the 2003 cost, it seems like a good deal.

Yeah the KBB retail value of my car at the time I bought it was up there, too. And they had it listed for $20900. They sold it for $17k. It just didn't seem like a steal-deal as you made it out to be, but it was STILL a good deal and as long as you are happy that's what matters.

Yeah, I guess it wasn't as good of a deal as I thought...I haven't been checking out actual dealer prices, so I didn't know. But yeah, like you said, I'm happy!
