Ignore the Tranny TSB?

A TSB is just a technical service bulliten. Its not a ticket for a new tranny. This isnt a "recall", its just a warranty extension. you gotta wait till it dies to get a new one.

do not put yourself in this position. the inconvenience of dropping the car off is far less than the inconvenience of being told you have to shell out 3 grand for a new trannyor god forbid having it go out in traffic and you get rear ended.

in any case, i'm pretty dissapointed with acura in that i just don't think this is the final fix for our trannies. i have a terrible feeling many of us will be SOL after our trannies break down after passing the 7yr/100,000mi mark.

I think you should ignore it so if the gear is bad it will fail sooner or later.When it does fail the trans locks up along with your front tires.Maybe you will be lucky enough to be on the busy freeway with a 18 wheeler tailgating you when it happens causing mass death & destruction. :blaze:
