Ignition problems

hey i wasnt thinking too much about this but ever since that ignition recall post i am kind of concerned.

ok, i went on a business trip and left my car in my garage for about 3 days. when i got back, i started up my car like normal, but it took like an extra 2 seconds to start. i almost thought it wouldn't start like that battery was dead or soemthing.

why does it do this? this isnt the first time that it has happened? could it be the MISFIRING in the ignition or the sparkplugs? i mean you can hear the starter turning for an extra turn or two until the engine fires up?

any ideas as to whats wrong or if this is normal?

Your fuel injection system may have totally depressurized over those 3 days and needed a little more time for pressure to build up. I had a Nissan that would start better if I left the key in "run" for a second or so before turning it to "start." That runs the fuel pump a little and builds up pressure in the system.

Let us know if that helped fix the problem.

I have to agree with fla-tls, just turn the key to the on position for a second or two before you start cranking the engine.
