If you don't trust your scissor jack....
...to jack up your car, you probably went out and purchased a heavy-duty side jack. Please make some recommendations; let me know which jack you prefer, why, ease of use, do you use jack stands, price, where to buy it from, jack tonnage, does it lift two wheels simultaneously (2 fronts/2 sides), and where do you place it under the car (do you trust it not to damage or drop the car/slip). TIA

I have two jacks a 2-ton and a 3 1/2-ton the 2-ton broke so I wouldnt recommend it. But, my 3 1/2-ton is working great they are made by larin or somthing like that. I use jackstands every time I lift the car it feels safer. I put the jack under the factory places. It cost about $65 from discount autoparts for the jack. I remember about a month ago I was at SEARS and they had a sale a CRAFTSMAN 3-ton jack and two jackstands for $100.00 I doubt it is still on but you could check it out.
hope this helps.

Where do you put the jack to lift it up? Cuz if you put the jackstand on the factory places for the lift, then were do you lift the car from?
