If I found a scratch in the new car when the dealer deliver it to me, and all my options have been installed including the full wood trim. What should I do? Thanks a lot.

how big is the scratch...i mean i had a scratch that was about half inch long...not too deep, still paint left, so i just dabbed some clear coat on it....if its not too big just clear coat it, but if you can see metal...go show it to them..

 

Did you tell them about it when you received the car or did you take delivery and then notice it. This will make a big difference in my opinion.

Then I think you stand a much better chance of them fixing it for you with no hassle. Still, did you tell them about it before delivery or after?

 

How could they fix it? If it is a scratch on the body, maybe they can just paint it. But if it is on the head light do you think they will replace the front cover? Thanks.

By the way I have not accepted that car yet.

Go to the dealership, and they'll fix it up.

 

That car sit in the dealers place for 2 weeks or it is in your sister's hand for 2 weeks?

take it to the dealer and demand that they fix it for free...

 

i'm sure they will fix it.....they want to keep their new customer happy; but don't wait too long

 

I'm sure that they will do whatever they have to do to fix it since you haven't accepted delivery. Be very tough about this though, remember- they're going to do as little as possible unless you push them.

My sister bought a new Ford Contour and at delivery she found a spot on the car where they left bird $hit for too long on the lot and it ate into the paint. After 2 weeks they decided that they couldn't fix it and took her car back and gave her a new one. That was FORD!!!!
