Idling exceptions
Idling exceptions
Just changed to synthetic Amsoil 5W 30 and did a engine flush. Now that I have time to settle, I am noticing that when I idle, I here and feel a little intermittent shake. Wondering if this is due to the different oil or is it something that anyone has experienced. I have 60,000 Kms on it.
I am not an expert in automobiles, but I have had a very problem.
Something as general as car shaking can come from many different factors. What I noticed is that I fueled my car from a gas station located in Baltimore City. If you have never been in Baltimore City (not the touristy Inner Harbor area), then you will know that it is a ghetto. As it turns out, my car stopped rattling once I started getting gas from a gas station in the suburbs rather than a gas station located in the heart of the city. What I suspect in my sitation is that I was buying watered-down gas or non-93 octane gas.
So before you try any major fix, try getting your next few tanks of gas from a large higher-volume gas station, even if it does end up costing you a few cents more per gallon.
