Icebox vs non-Icebox results
Okay folks . . .
No dyno here . . . yet, but here is how my pre-Icebox runs compared to my post.
Still the same tires and wheel, and probably a little bit more gas in the tank with the Icebox.
Without Icebox -- 14.65 @93.95MPH
With the Icebox - 14.58 @ 95.87MPH
I'd post all the details, but I can't find my old slip and it's a bish trying to find the old post. But here are the Icebox details.
60' ----- 2.225
330' --- 6.186
1/8 ---- 9.413
MPH --- 76.27
1000 -- 12.225
1/4 ---- 14.588
MPH --- 95.87
The only thing I recall is that I had a 2.19 or 2.19 60' before, so you can see the Icebox really helped out.
No where can I get some good used headers for cheap? I think 14.3 or 14.2 is in my future. :smokin:

Before the icebox, what performance mods did you have?? The reason I ask is, I ran a 15.2 with a K&N. If you ran a 14.5 with just an Icebox, that's impressive.
What was the weather like when you ran? It was 77 degrees and 100% humidity for me. I was very disappointed.

I never had a CAI so I can't say what the difference is, but I recall the Icebox is better by around 4hp vs the CAI. The biggest advantages are the the Icebox protects the airfilter better, keeps it cooler, easier to clean and allows air flow to build up before hitting the air filter.
IMO, Just a better design overall.

The temp was 78 and humidity was around 60% on that run. The temps dropped to 72 by 1:30am, but humidity climbed to 80%.

the only reason you should have worse fuel consumption is because you are stepping on the gas more often to feel and hear the difference

More details needed, pmptxs,.... what part is not fitting? Is the hood not closing? Is the bottom part of your icebox not flush against the battery and sitting flat on the car metal with the duct aligned? Maybe my pics can be of assistance. I'll post a whole review later.
Here's the Icebox bottom sitting on the metal, screwed into position:
The plastic piece in the pic below needs to be trimmed:
All the stock parts which you won't be needing anymore :
Here's a close-up of the whole thing installed. The hood shuts without any problems! :
Here's a shot of the engine bay after installation:
Post if you have any updates or need any further assistance. I'll post a whole review later but let me tell you this: DEFINITELY WORTH IT! Good luck!
