I want more HP

I just bought a 2002 TL-S about 3 weeks ago, and I love it. It has a lot of power as is, but I want more now. Does anyone have any tips on increasing engine performance?

I think Comptech headers will give you the most HP, but they're a bit pricey. otherwise, not much to do but wait for the supercharger.

I purchased my TL-S about three weeks ago and I too started off wanting more power. After much reading, I determined that headers were about the only option for adding more hp.

However, adding headers only give you more hp (20-30) at the 5000-7000 RPM range (1-5 in the lower RPM ranges). Unless you do a lot of street racing, you won't see much of an increase by adding headers. Also a little worried about the added heat under the hood damaging other parts. Manifold heat shield cannot be used when the headers are installed.

After much deliberation, I have decided to hold off adding headers and monitor the way I drive for a few weeks to see how often I get into the 5000-7000 RPM range. More than likely, I will not be adding them (but have not ruled them out entirely yet).

The only mods I plan to make in the next week, are replace OEM fog bulbs with PIAA Extreme white bulbs from autofreak.com, add 38% window tinting, drop in K&N air filter, replace high beam bulbs with PIAA Platinum.

3.5L conversion + Comptech supercharger = mucho power
But... blown transmission would be a good possibility

Yeah, I was born and raised in feenicks, so after college, I got up outta that heat real quick. My wife went to ASU. She is from San Diego and we met when I was at ASU visiting a friend. So I guess all Sun Devils aren't bad. Most of them, but not all of them.

Sorry everyone for getting OT.

If it did stand for Aztecs, I think I'd be the only person in San Diego with any school spirit. No one here cares about college sports.
