Yea..w/ all the luck that everyone here has been having w/ their TL'z being banged up...i kept thinking to myself that it I was quite damn lucky that my TL wasn't scratched. WELL WELL WELL....DAMN WAS I WRONG! I had to set up a live sound reinforcement for a 6 band "battle of the bands"...i got there around 5...parked in a spot where only the driver door could be hit...if you had doors that opened up 20 freakin feet....yet, when i came out, i had a not on my windshield saying..."i have the licence number and description of the car that hit your driver side door. my number is blah blah...(insert name)"...DAMN WAS I MAD!!!! WEll...now, i'm wonderin...how much is a new door? W/ a new paintjob? the dent is about...at least 1 inch deep in the center..about a 12" diameter...and a long scratch to go along w/ it that goes from tip to tip of the door. Thx for anyhelp, and for the patience of reading my venting. People need to be careful!!

hey dude the same shit happened to me during a tornado... A roof shingle flew off the roof and smacked the $hit out of my front passenger door... It was scratched bad as hell and there was a dent in it... If you dont have a stripe then the whole job will be cheaper by about 20bucks... Anyways, to sand the door, dismantle it mirrors and trim, and fix the dent, and repaint it costed me about $415 dollars... This place where I took it only does body work on the acura dealerships cars... Well they did an incredible job on my car... You can always tell that its been painted though... I just play like I didnt know about it... Its something with the glare on the door... Im sure if you get all the panels blended you wont notice this... My car is black, so they didnt suggest it... Anyways, its just body work, these people handle shit like this everyday... Dont file it under insurance if you can, because they will think youre mellow dramatic 
... Live with it for a while so youll appreciate how much it looks good when its fixed bro, just my .02 cents

the person that did it is totally denying it..but i got 4 witnesses...and pics. SO, I'M PISSED at the person...but i got him in a corner. damn 16 year old rich boy. anyways...lets see how things go.

It's gonna suck to be that kid (and his parents). He thinks that dent in your car is bad, wait until he sees the dent in his record for the hit an run! DOUGH!!!! And he's gonna have mad insurance bills for 5 years atleast! DOUGH!!!!

I am with you on this one, bro ... after 16 sixteen months of owning a clean blk Tl, I found a dent the size of quarter on my driver door. SOB didn't leave a note of course & it happened in my company's indoor garage !%$*
