I think my tranny is messed up
i was on my way home today, with this this girl i had just met yesterday. I decided to show off a lil bit when a rx8 pulled up at the light. we took off from a roll and i beat it not by much, but my goal was accomplished and she was impressed. a fe mins after i was about to get on the highway and i could feel the car starting to shake a little bit and the RPMs went down. I down shifted and gave a little bit of gas and the RPMs shot up but the car didnt go anywhere. I pulled over and shut off the car and left it off for a few mins. finally turned it back on and put it in gear and it started to run like nothing was wrong. i was like phew that was a close one. a few miles down on the highway, my check engine light, VSA, and the traction control light came on. at this point i knew something went wrong and i put it in 5th and costed it all the way home. once i got off the exit and stopped at the light i could feel the car vibrating and once i started moving again i could feel the car shake in 2nd and 3rd.
what do u guys think the problem is? this happen to anyone else? damn i was all excited about the ross dock meet too i prolly wont make that if its really messed up

well i had my car towed to acura this morning. theysaid they'll take care of it. but they couldnt give me a loaner cause im only 20 even though they gave me a tsx the past 2 times i was there. i think this is absolutely bull shit. if they can sell a 20yr old the car they should be able to give a loaner car when the shit they sold breaks. im jus venting cause this is the gonna be the 2nd tranny in less than 3000 miles and its gonna be the 3rd one in the life of the car. i have only had the car for 5 months. These bastards even failed to tell me that this car had the tranny replaced by the previous owner. i would have never bought it if that was the case.

How many miles on your TL? How did you find out that the previous owner had a transmission failure?

Time to bring her in to the dealership. Bring your new girl there and tell her that you have an 07 TL Type S on order and just driving your current TL until it comes in LOL! Your tranny is on it's way, all the classic symptoms.

Well, all i can hope, is that is the tranny. According to the stealer that is the one & only thing that is still under warranty on my 2003TLS. I need a link to this EGR Valve link warranteed to 150k by the EPA. If any one is interested, just do a search on this site for "egr valve" check out the thread & tell me what you all think. According to one of the Moderators, acura must Warranty the egr valve, amongst other things, mandated by the EPA.
