Cool I painted my calipers!

They look ok, took way too long, lots of hard work taking off those tires. Hey, no more scratched rims!

I'm in the process of painting them too.. Can you tell me how you did them... Did you use primer....or did you just use engine paint? Did you take the whole caloper off, or did you just sprayed it on.? thanks for your help

I like the silver.

I also like the RED on my Silver 2000 TL.

I purchased the kit from here: http://www.carstyling.com/wheel.html

I didn't want to screw up the first time; the brakes are too important to mess us. Beside the kit contained everything I needed to paint them without having to remove the caliper. It is a brush-on paint mixture, not a spray.

It was a tough and grueling job (without professional lifts and tire removing equipment) so I didn't want to fool around with some engine paint that might peel before summer's end.

I do plan to repaint in Fall (another couple of coats). Then, I will decide if I change colour....

That glossy red paint job makes the brakes look "organic" or something. Interesting....

It was still kind of wet... it's just a nice deep RED now.

Looks very nice! But, damn you guys! I don't even have my TL-S yet and the list of "things to do" keeps on growing! Now I gotta add "paint the calipers" to it -- and make another color decision!

Keep up the good work!

V.

Mental note: Stop visiting Acura-TL.com site... is costing way too much time and money...
